tell your friends...
Every playa's gonna meet his match and every dog (possibly with two g's) is gonna have its day is how this single by Virginia Beach MC Seven begins. It's a song about how the world's got its head up its worldly ass and there's nothing that can be done to make any of that change much one way or the other. It also asks the question, "Where would the world be without computers?" Which one of the game's finest spitters hasn't thought that once or twice today? Lots of those bigger questions enter the fray in this blaring song about being disgusted in the insipidity of the people that you meet on the street every day and those that live in bigger houses who make all of the decisions that affect those in the smaller, crummier houses. I think that's what Seven's getting at here in "Crazy," which very recently almost took the top spot in the December OurStage contest in the alternative hip-hop category. The general consensus here – and our quorum's are small – is that the man who looks like former New York Mets righthanded starting pitcher Bill Pulsipher was robbed, possibly at gunpoint by the actual winners. No matter, his Jay-Z-isms are shipshape and that's really all that counts. – Sean Moeller
