The Impossible Shapes have never had a problem with prolificness. Lead singer Chris Barth, bassist Aaron Deer and drummer Mark Rice are tradesmen who write songs for a living and do their best to live off of them. They have side projects that are fantastic — Magnolia Electric Company, Horns of Happiness and Normanoak — and they’re currently working on the tunes for a follow-up to Tum. They’re so proficient that they’re going back to the drawing board after supposedly finding almost 30 recorded songs not right enough. This is going to be great — whenever it’s heard.
