Jeff A. Stolz plays a tambourine shoe as if he’s stepped into a beehive and is trying to shake it off from the catchy point around the ankle bones. Wallace J. Cochran has a Rollie Fingers mustache, curled up spryly at the edges and these two gents write some of the most fascinating music you’ll ever hear. We owe all of our acquaintance of these two Lawrence, Kansas bros to The Impossible Shapes. When the Shapes were by for a session, drummer Mark Rice wore a tan T-shirt with one man stabbing a sword straight through another man and it was sexy. He told us that the band was even better than the shirt.
