It’s the summer time and you know what that means, Paul and Joe DeGeorge — the world’s most unlikely wizards — are knocking up every darned library they can find in this land of the US of A. That’s how we got them by one year ago this week. They will be playing next to stacks of Highlights magazines and Lemony Snicket serials while (this is completely real) accepting book reports on Flannery O’Connor and J.D. Salinger books in exchange for free toothbrushes inscribed with the phrases “Rock The Plaque Off” and “Scourgify Your Teeth.” (I got a “Rock The Plaque Off” brush — the 2006 model — and I didn’t have to book report at all, kids; a sucker’s born every minute.) Harry and the Potters will be three in number for their endless tour that has them playing in a barn and enjoying all of the hype surrounding the July 21st release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Here’s hoping those jerks Draco and the Malfoys keep their distance on all these dates. Their session, which features a makeout song and some death metal, is here.
