Dios Malos’ J.P. Caballero speaks out about his SXSW:
Highlights — getting drunk in the street at all hours of the day w/
friends, extended family and extra large pizzas.
Lowlights — white rappers from Covent Gardens, UK. No parking — ANYWHERE EVER. Being treated like second class citizens, and not getting overhead baggage. No bands sounding like ZZ Top. The band Cheeseburger sounding nothing like what cheeseburgers sound like. Long lines for pizza.
Midlights — seeing Iggy Pop come out on stage and doing 50 minutes of an intense bow flex workout/performance. Hitting on everybody’s wife (apparently).

We’d been complete and utter failures to this point. Dios Malos and we were beginning to fell like the Dios Buenos were shit bags for not allowing us to meet up until this Friday evening in mid-March in the warmest temperatures we’d felt in months. Van troubles nixed the first attempt and a scheduling conflict on our part sank the second. We were in the same city, no excuses this time. We grabbed that tiger by the tale and good times were had. We’ve already started talking about an encore – luck be on our side. – Sean Moeller
