We know that our skin gets salty because Baby Alpaca's Chris Kittrell seems to remind us of that simple fact. He writes these soaring, yet gritty odes to the lives that solitary men could have. They sound like unwashed laments of love and tragic interactions. They are benders, or precursors to benders. They've been bitten. The teeth have broken the skin and as the lips touch the first thing they notice, as they smoosh upon thin hair and pores, the salt.
