Josiah Leming had his golden birthday yesterday. The young man turned 26 years old on March 26th, but you'd never know it by listening to him. There's something about those folks who are pegged as old souls that defies all recognition. Leming is one of those souls so old that he's likely been here on this dirt two or three times already now. It might be the only explanation for the way that he writes and the way he carries himself through these modern times. He's a young man who knows his way around sorrow and joy better than most men three times his age. It's not possible to be so wise. It's not possible to be so saddened, but not deadened, at a non-ripe old age.
