Today marks the 50th anniversary of The Beatles landing in New York City for the first time, prior to their legendary performances on The Ed Sullivan Show. There are two celebratory NYC FAB 50 performances commemorating the occasion -- one at the Hudson Theatre Friday and the other, a blow-out spectacular at Town Hall, featuring Beach Boy Al Jardine and a whole host of others.
Marvin Scott, a reporter for WPIX, was there as the aircraft carrying The Beatles landed there at New York's Kennedy Airport, and here he tells the story of that day.
